Checking the progress of a campaign

  1. Checking the progress of a campaign with a general limit
  2. Checking the progress of a campaign with a daily limit
  3. Checking the progress of a campaign without impression and click limits

With Adfox, you can keep track of your campaign progress if the campaign is limited in terms of ad impressions, clicks, or time.

To check campaign progress, go to Campaigns → Commercial. You can view the progress in the Actual progress/Plan compliance column.

Clicking on the campaign row opens a side panel with the general campaign settings and its delivery progress. If the Campaign/flight/banner hierarchy module is enabled in the account, the campaign progress indicator is available at the flight level.

Note. If there is no Actual progress/Plan compliance column in the list of campaigns, click the Configure columns button above the list and check whether the display of this column is enabled.

Checking the progress of a campaign with a general limit

For campaigns with a total limit on the number of ad impressions and/or clicks, a progress indicator is displayed and the following metrics are available:

1 — Actual impression rate
Shown as a percentage and color-coded. Calculated using the following formula:

To sort the list of campaigns by the actual rate, click Actual progress ↓ in the column name. Campaigns will be sorted in descending order. If you click it again, the order will switch to ascending.

2 — Expected impression rate
Marked with | on the indicator. Calculated using the following formula:

The number of potential ad impressions is calculated based on the assumption that they are evenly distributed over time during the entire campaign period.

Note. The metric is only displayed if the campaign end date is set.
3 — Plan compliance
Calculated using the following formula:

If plan compliance is 95% or more, it means that the campaign is likely to be completed on time or even before the specified end date.

In such cases, the campaign progress indicator is green.

If the metric is between 80% and 95%, there is a risk that the campaign may not be completed on time.

The campaign progress indicator will be yellow.

If plan compliance is less than 80%, the risk of failure to complete the campaign on time increases. In this case, we recommend changing the campaign targeting and analyzing other campaigns that use the same inventory.

The campaign progress indicator will be red.

To sort the list of campaigns by plan compliance, click Plan compliance ↓ in the column name. Campaigns will be sorted in descending order. If you click it again, the order will switch to ascending.

Note. The metric is only displayed if the campaign end date is set.

If a campaign has impression and click limits, the indicator only shows campaign progress related to clicks.

Checking the progress of a campaign with a daily limit

For campaigns that only have a daily limit on the number of ad impressions and clicks, campaign progress is displayed as a chart with the data on ad impressions/clicks for the last 7 days:

Note. If both total and daily impression (click) limits are set in the campaign settings and the end date is specified, the process indicator only shows the campaign progress towards the total limit. The following metrics are displayed: Actual impression (click) rate, Expected impression (click) rate, Plan compliance.

Checking the progress of a campaign without impression and click limits

If there are no impression and/or click limits set for the campaign, its progress is displayed as a chart with data on impressions (clicks) for the last 7 days:

If there were no ad impressions/clicks for the campaign in the last 7 days, the campaign progress chart is not available.
