Tabs
Where are my tabs?
In the lower-right lower-left corner, tap the icon with the number of tabs ( if three tabs are open).
A list of all open tabs in Yandex Browser for Mobile will open.
Open a page in a new tab
- Tap and hold the page link.
- In the context menu, tap:
- Open in new tab to go to the link on a new tab.
- Open in background to open the link on a new tab but stay on the current tab.
To switch to a tab that's opened in the background, tap the icon with the number of tabs ( if three tabs are open) and select a tab.
New tab
Note
If you don't use your smartphone for a few hours and then turn it back on, Yandex Browser displays the tabs that were open earlier. If you want to always open a new tab screen after you re-open Yandex Browser, tap Settings → More settings and enable the Start the app in a new tab.

On the bottom panel, tap

Enter a query or website address in the SmartBox. Or select a site on the Tableau.
Note
If the current tab is in Incognito mode, the new tab also opens in Incognito mode.
Tap → New tab.
Note
If you want to see the virtual keyboard when you open a new tab, go to More settings and turn on Keyboard for new tab.
Switch between tabs
- To go to the previous tab, swipe the current tab to the right.
- To go to the next tab, swipe the current tab to the left.
Note
This touch gesture works if the option Switch between tabs by swiping from the edge of the screen is turned on under More settings.

Tap the icon with the number of tabs (e.g.,

Choose the appropriate tab from the list.
Closing tabs
One tab
1. Tap the icon with the number of tabs (e.g., , if you have three tabs open).
2. Swipe the page left or right or tap the icon in the top right corner of the tab.
Multiple tabs
1. Tap the icon with the number of tabs (e.g., , if you have three tabs open).
2. Tap and hold the tab.
3. In the popup menu, select: Close tabs above, Close tabs below, Close other tabs, or Close all tabs.
All tabs
1. Tap the icon with the number of tabs (e.g., , if you have three tabs open).
2. At the top right, tap the icon.
Auto
If you have more than 100 tabs open, the browser can automatically close the ones that you haven't looked at for the longest time:
1. Tap → Settings → Close tabs.
2. Specify when to close tabs that you haven't viewed for a long time. If you don't want the browser to close tabs automatically, select Never.
Tabs on other devices
After syncing, Yandex Browser displays tabs that are open on a computer, tablet, or smartphone and added to the cloud.
View tabs left open on other devices

On the bottom panel, tap
.

At the center top of the screen, tap Samsung (if you have Samsung) or the name of the tab group.
A list of all available groups and tabs will open:
- at the top of the list there are the window tabs of your other devices.
- below the separator — tab groups:
– cloud groups from your synced devices;
– local groups from this device.

Select the tabs of the desired device: computer, tablet or phone.
