Paid subscription warnings
It is extremely easy to subscribe to a paid service: you just have to tap a button on a website page. Yandex Browser for MobileYandex Browser Lite warns you about paid subscriptions so that you only subscribe to services that you intend to.
What are paid subscriptions?
Paid subscriptions are one way to pay for online services. For example, you can use a subscription service to set up voicemail on your mobile phone or receive weather forecasts via SMS.
Although mobile subscription pages are hosted on the websites of mobile network operators, their content is determined by third-party content providers. Some of them try very hard to make it difficult to notice that their service is not free. For example, the subscription button might be labeled Play or Login, while the message informing you that this is a paid service may be written in small letters or hidden beyond the visible part of the screen. If you tap the button, you agree to the subscription conditions, and money will start being deducted from your mobile account.
Paid subscription warnings
If you end up on a mobile service provider’s page that contains a paid subscription, Yandex Browser for Mobile will display a warning in the browser window, and the icon will appear in the SmartBox. Tap Proceed to payment only if you really intend to pay for a subscription.
