Yandex.Calendar for desktop

With syncing, you can view and edit your events on Yandex.Calendar from a PC via calendar apps. Changes made in other apps will be transferred to Yandex.Calendar when you connect to the internet.

Calendars are synced through the CalDAV protocol.

Setting up calendar syncing

Select your OS:

Step 1. Create an app password
  1. Open Account management in Yandex ID.
  2. Go to Passwords and authorization and click Enable app passwords. Confirm the action.
  3. Click Create new password.
  4. Select the Calendar app type and create a name for the password. For example, enter the name of the app you're creating a password for. This will be the name of this password in the list.
  5. Click Create. You'll see the app password in the pop-up window.
    Restriction. You can only see the password that you created once. If you entered it incorrectly and closed the window, delete the current password and create a new one.
Step 2. Configure the syncing program:
Restriction. You can only add one account. You won't be able to add calendars from other accounts.
  1. Download and install Mozilla Thunderbird.
  2. In the Home tab, click Create new calendar.
  3. Select On the Network and click Next.
  4. Select CalDAV. In the Address field, enter the address from the calendar settings:
    1. In the left-hand panel, select the calendar you want to use on your computer.
    2. Hover your mouse over the calendar name and click .
    3. Go to the Export tab.
    4. Copy the address from the CalDAV field.
    Disable the Offline Support option. Click Next.
  5. Enter a calendar name, choose a color, and leave other options as default.
  6. When the Authentication is required pop-up window appears, enter your account settings:
    • Username: your_login@yandex.ru
    • Password: the app password created in the previous step
  7. Click Finish.
  8. To open the tab with the calendar, click in the upper-right corner.
Step 1. Create an app password
  1. Open Account management in Yandex ID.
  2. Go to Passwords and authorization and click Enable app passwords. Confirm the action.

  5. Click Create. You'll see the app password in the pop-up window.

Step 2. Set up syncing with your device
  1. Open Calendar → Add Account.
  2. Choose Other CalDAV Account and click Continue.
  3. Enter your email address (in the your_login@yandex.ru format) and the app password created in the previous step. Click Sign in.
    Error“Unable to verify account name or password”

    Specify the advanced parameters:

    • Account Type: Advanced
    • Username: your_login@yandex.ru
    • Password: The app password created in the previous step
    • Server Address: caldav.yandex.ru
    • Server Path: /principals/users/your_login@yandex.ru/
    • Port: 443 or 8443
    • Use SSL: Yes
    • Use Kerberos for authentication: No
    If you can't connect with the advanced parameters, make sure that automatic IPv6 configuration is enabled in the network settings:
    1. Open your network settings.
    2. Click Advanced.
    3. Go to the TCP/IP tab.
    4. In the Configure IPv6 field, select Automatically.
  4. Make sure that the account appeared in the calendar list and then change your settings.

Yandex.Calendar won't sync with email program

You can't sync Yandex.Calendar with Outlook just yet. If you're using a different email program, please contact us via the form below. Your message should contain the following information:

  • Your username
  • The link you want to use for syncing (you can find it in calendar settings, just go to the Export tab, select the format you need, and copy the address)
  • Error time
  • A screenshot containing the error message
  • The name and version of the email program
