How to configure the Direct Commander window

Position and size of panels

To manage panels, use the View menu or keyboard shortcuts. For example, you can tile the panels horizontally.

To resize the panels or the Inspector, drag the border between them. To restore the original size, click .

Zooming the interface

To zoom in or out on the elements in the window, use the keys Ctrl + +/- (Cmd ⌘ + +/- on MacOS ). Zoom settings are not saved when you restart Direct Commander.

Collapse panels

To collapse any of the panels or the Inspector, click the icon in the upper-right corner (the icon appears on hover).

When you collapse one of the panels, the other panel becomes the main panel, with a full set of tabs available in it.

To expand a collapsed panel or the Inspector, just click on them.

Set of columns on a tab

To hide, show, or reorder columns in the tab, right-click and select Setting columns from the menu. In the window that opens, select the columns that you want to show or drag-and-drop them to reorder.
