# Empty window or tabs

If no data is shown in Direct Commander, try disabling GPU acceleration. To do this, launch Direct Commander with the `-- disable-gpu` key:

- Windows

  1. Close Direct Commander.
  
  1. Right-click the program shortcut and select **Properties**.
  
  1. In the **Shortcut** tab, add the `-- disable-gpu` parameter preceded by space to the **Target** field, then save the changes.
  
  1. Launch Direct Commander by clicking its icon.
  

- macOS

  
  Launch the application from the command line (in the Terminal program) and add the `--disable-gpu` parameter preceded by a space:
  
  ```
  "/Applications/Direct Commander.app/Contents/MacOS/Direct Commander" --disable-gpu
  ```
