Launching an ad campaign for a business without a website
If you don't have a site, you can still launch ads with Quick start: describe your business in a few sentences, and Yandex AI will handle the rest. It will create a landing page with your product information and contact details and help you with settings, text, and images.
You can track your campaign's results in the statistics section.
Create a campaign
Click Add → Campaign. On the Quick start tab, click Create ads. Under I don't have a site, tap Proceed without a site.
Step 1. Create and configure a landing page
-
Choose the information source for the landing page: based on a business description or your website.
Based on descriptionBased on site- Select your status: organization or professional.
- In the Business name field, enter the company name or the type of business — for example, "Custom embroidery on denim jackets".
- In the Business description field, specify what makes your product or service stand out. Highlight your key advantages: discounts, promotions, delivery options, warranty, and other benefits.
- Tap Continue.
- Select your status: organization or professional.
- Specify the landing page URL.
- Tap Continue.
-
Link your organization under Organization from Yandex Business so that your landing page can have a request form, reviews, and a section showing your address and location on the map. Alternatively, you may proceed without adding an organization.
-
Set up the contact buttons: phone number, WhatsApp, or Telegram.
Warning
The landing page won't save if you don't add the contact details.
-
Tap Create landing page.
Your landing page content starts generating. This can take up to a minute. Once the generation is complete, the landing page content editor opens.
Step 2. Set up a campaign
-
Find your company on Yandex Maps and specify it in the ad to reach customers who use Yandex Maps. This way, Yandex Direct will know what organization it needs to promote and gather useful information from its profile.
-
Select display regions. You can display ads at the region, province, or city level.
For example, for a small coffee shop, you can specify the city where you want potential visitors to discover your business. And for an online clothing store, you should specify all regions where you offer delivery.
-
Explain what you do. Start typing and choose 2–3 activities.
-
The Yandex Direct algorithm has already picked several images for your ads from the site, a stock library, or AI-generated options. Feel free to replace them as needed. You can add up to 50 options.
-
Select one of the budget options suggested by the system or specify a custom value. The amounts are indicated without VAT.
Budgets are calculated based on the spending statistics of your competitors. The bigger your budget, the more likely you are to win auctions and receive more traffic.
The budget is set for 7 days. Yandex Direct will spend money within the specified amount. The campaign will run as long as there's money in your account.
-
Click Launch campaign.
As an advertising data operator, Yandex submits all placement information to the Unified Registry of Online Advertising (ERIR) when creating a campaign. Learn more about ad labeling.
If your account balance is equal to or greater than your selected monthly budget, your campaign will start automatically.
The progress bar will show the status of the campaign and your next steps:
-
Awaiting payment: Insufficient funds. The progress bar will show a message that you need to top up your account to continue.
-
Under moderation: Your ads are currently under review.
You'll receive the results of a compliance review against advertising requirements via the email you used to register in Yandex Direct.
-
Active: Your campaign is approved, and your ads are now showing.
What else you can configure
The information you provided is sufficient: your ads are already running. To make your promotion more effective, you can add more advertising and promotional content.
On the campaign page, go to the Advertising and promotional content tab.
-
Fill out the form.
Under Questionnaire, provide details about your business and its features, such as product range, delivery, and promotions. By answering these questions, you can set up and target your ads more precisely. The questions included in the form depend on your chosen business category.
-
Create additional ads.
You can create up to 20 additional ads either using our neural network or manually:
- Compose your ad title and text.
- Add an image. You can upload it, add it from a campaign, or choose from the AI-generated options or from the image stock. You can add only one image per ad.
- To add a video, enable the corresponding option. You can upload it or add it from a campaign. You can add only one video per ad.
- Enable the option and specify the price of the product or service. This way, the ad will be more prominent in comparison to similar ads.
- Enable the option and specify the ad placement period during which the ad will be served.
Campaign statistics
A few days after the launch, the Statistics section appears on the campaign page under the Home tab. Using the charts, you can analyze placements based on their click and conversion counts:
-
Clicks represent how many times users clicked your ads in the Yandex Advertising Network and Yandex Search, as well as how many times they opened your company in Yandex Maps.
-
Conversions represent how many clicks on the contact button in the online vCard resulted in a target action.
You can't view statistics for individual ads: only an overview of the entire campaign is available. The charts show how many times users clicked your ads and completed conversions.
