Creating a banner

Step 1. Go to the campaign creation page and make settings

Click Add → Campaign. Choose Expert mode and select your ad goal: Viewability on Yandex Search.

Enter the campaign name. Set the campaign start and end dates. If you want to serve ads at a specific time, configure time targeting.

Choose the display region for your ads.

Select an ad strategy. We recommend that you use the Optimize clicks strategy.

Step 2. Create an ad group and set up the targeting criteria

Your banners may be served when users enter searches that contain one of the complete keywords you entered. Keywords are applied at the banner group level.

Step 3. Configure banner settings

Add a creative. You can upload a creative from your computer or the internet. You can add only one ad creative for each ad.

Your creative must meet the following technical requirements:

120 KB

File type

JPG, PNG or GIF

Size in pixels

240×400

In the Link in ad field, enter the URL of the site page that your banner will lead to.

As an advertising data operator, Yandex assigns each creative a unique identifier referred to as "token" when creating campaigns. It then uses this token to aggregate all your placement data and transmit it to the Unified Internet Advertising Registry (ERIR). Learn more about ad labeling.

Moderate banner and launch campaign

After you create your banner, it will be checked to make sure the requirements are met. Click Send to moderation and confirm that you accept the Yandex terms for publishing your ad. It usually takes the moderators a few hours to review your banner. On weekends and holidays, moderation may take longer than on weekdays.

Your moderation results will be emailed to the address you provided when you created the ad campaign.

Your banner will begin displaying as soon as Yandex receives your payment.
