How to launch Target Lift

Target Lift launches when you start an ad campaign. The survey results become available in about ten days after the campaign ends. You can enable the survey for campaigns that haven't generated any impressions yet.

The Target Lift survey is available for new display campaigns with banners, videos, including non-skippable ones, fixed CPM, and video banners.

Target Lift is not available for campaigns with the “Manual bid management” strategy enabled.

Step 1. Set up data collection

To track conversions, set up data collection:

  • If you're selecting goals for your site, install the Yandex Metrica tag on your site.
  • If you're selecting goals for the app only, set up app data collection. In this case, you don't need to install the Yandex Metrica tag.

Target Lift surveys for in-app events are currently in beta.

Step 2. Set up the survey

  • The campaign duration is 7 days or more.
  • A Yandex Metrica tag installed on your site is specified in the campaign settings.
  • You selected between 1 and 5 on-site conversions for the survey.
  • The campaign duration is 7 days or more.
  • The mobile app is added to Yandex Direct.
  • You selected between 1 and 5 in-app events for the survey.

How to configure

  1. Create a new display campaign and specify its main parameters.

  2. In the campaign settings, under Conversions, specify the goals that will be used for the strategy and for future analytics. You can add up to five goals.

    Use the events that benefit your business as goals. We recommend using the same goals you chose when configuring the conversion strategies for your unified performance campaign.

    You can combine mobile app goals with on-site events or use them separately in different campaigns.

  3. Enable Target Lift.

  4. Set up groups, add you ads, and launch the campaign.

If the campaign has passed moderation, the survey will start automatically. You can't enable a Target Lift survey once you start your campaign.
