View files and folders
You can use the web interface to view files you uploaded to Yandex Disk without installing any software. The following file formats are supported:
- Documents: DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, PPT/PPTX, ODT, ODS, ODP, CSV, RTF, TXT, PDF.
- Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, NEF, EPS, PSD, AI.
- Archives: ZIP, RAR, TAR.
- eBooks: FB2, DJVU.
- Audio and video: All popular formats.
View documents
To switch to view mode, select a file and click View.
You can scroll text documents and tables using the scroll bar or the ↑ and ↓ keys. For presentations, use the icons on the right and left sides of the screen or the ← and → keys.
To view the number of pages in a document or switch to fullscreen mode, hover the cursor over the bottom of the screen for the corresponding icon to appear.
View images
Double-click on an image to view it in full-screen mode:
In this mode, you can view information about the image as well as share, edit, download, and delete it (using the icons in the upper right corner). To open the original image, add it to an album or upload it to a social network, click 
and choose the appropriate menu item. To hide the icons and view the full image, select it.
To exit viewing mode, press the Esc key or close the window.
Image quality has decreased
Images are stored on Yandex Disk in their original quality. They are not compressed during upload. However, Yandex Disk creates low-resolution thumbnails to view on the website, in order to reduce traffic and make working with Yandex Disk faster. To view an image in its original quality, download it to your computer.
This is most likely because an incorrect color profile was set when shooting or processing the photos. To display photos with the proper colors in web browsers and most image viewing programs, you need to set the sRGB color profile. You can do this in the camera settings (when shooting in JPEG) or your image editor settings (when processing or converting from RAW to JPEG).
The color profile of a photo can be changed at any time in the image editor. To do this in Adobe Photoshop, open and choose sRGB in the Destination space field. After saving, the proper colors will be displayed.
View archive contents
You can view a list of the contents in an archive as well as each file individually. To view a particular file, click it.
Read books
Customize the display according to your preferences:
- Two pages on screen, like in paper books. In this case, you can turn pages using the icons on the right and left sides of the screen or the ← and → keys. To switch to this view option, click
→ 
on the left side of the screen. - One page on screen. In this case, you can turn pages using the scroll bar or the ↑ and ↓ keys. To switch to this view option, click →
on the left side of the screen.
Play audio and video
To play an audio file, double-click it and click the play button in the window that appears.
In this mode, you can view information about the audio file as well as share, download, and delete it (using the icons in the upper right corner). To hide the icons, click it.
To exit playback mode, press the Esc key or close the window.
To play a video file, double-click it.
Video quality has decreased
Video files are stored on Yandex Disk in their original quality. They are not compressed during upload.
If a video is played in Yandex Disk in low quality, it is most likely because a low resolution is selected in the lower-right corner of the video player. You can select a higher resolution. The maximum quality that you can watch videos in on the website is 1080p, so if the video resolution is higher, you can download it to your computer to watch it in the original quality.
