How to get a promo code

You can get a promo code as a gift from another user, from Yandex or Yandex partner (for participating in a competition, as a part of promotion or as a gratitude for help).

  • Each promo code can be activated once from one account.
  • The promo code must be activated within the given time.

How do promo codes work if I already purchased space?

If you already purchased additional space on Disk and then activate a promo code, the space purchased with the promo code is added to the additional space you purchased.

If you activate a promo code for a discount, the discount will only apply to the purchase of a new package. Previously purchased packages are paid without the discount.

Is the additional space discount applied only once or multiple times?

If you activate a promo code for a discount and buy an additional space package, the discount applies only to future autopayments for this package. If you disable auto-renewal, the discount expires.

If you want to buy several packages at a discount, before activation, read the terms of the promotion the code was issued for. Some promo codes allow you to buy only one package at a discount.

How to activate a promo code

  1. Read the terms of the promotion that the promo code was issued for and find the effective period of the code. Gift codes must be activated within the specified period of time.
  2. Log in to Yandex.
  3. Go to disk.yandex.com/gift.

    Also, to access the activation page you can click the Buy space button in the lower left corner of the screen, then click Activate promo code.

  4. Check the username you are activating the code for. The username is displayed in the upper-right corner of the page.
  5. Enter the code and click Activate.

Promo code expiration

If the promotional terms state that a promo code is for a limited time, the additional space is disabled when the time expires. Files saved on Yandex.Disk are not deleted or blocked, even if they exceed the total size limit. You can still view, download and share your files.

Promo code problems

If you can't activate a promo code, find the promotion terms and make sure is still valid.

If you can't use an active promo code or you have some other problem, contact the support service.
