What is an account

An account is the control center for your business on Market. It allows you to manage sales, connect new models, and manage employee access.

There can be one or several stores inside an account. Stores differ from each other in sales settings. For the buyer, all stores within one account look like the same seller with the same name. Learn more about what a store is on Market

When you need multiple accounts

As a rule, one account is enough to work on Market. You can add another one (or several) only in the following cases:

  • You are going to sell products from a completely new category: for example, you have a clothing store and want to start selling car floor mats as well.

  • You are going to develop another brand and want to sell only products of that brand in the store.

    The name of the new store must match its assortment and be different from the name already used on Market.

    Example

    You already have a store called "For Home" where you sell textiles and tableware. You are going to create a new store and sell greenhouses, fertilizers, and garden tools there — name this store "For Garden".

  • You have several registered store names and want all of them to be shown in the Market showcase. In this situation, you need to create several accounts (one for each trademark), even if the products are the same.

In all other situations, creating a new account is not allowed.

Accounts belonging to the same owner must follow these rules, even if they are registered under different Yandex IDs

If serious violations occur in one of the owner's accounts, all of them may be blocked. Do not create a new account to bypass a block on an existing one.

How to switch between accounts and stores

To switch between accounts, click your account icon and select the required one. To switch between stores, use the drop-down list in the upper-right corner.

The account provides detailed statistics for your stores: information about orders, quality index, cost of Market services, and so on.

How to move stores to a new account

To move stores, send a request in the account:  → Support → Create request → Personal account settings.

If you want to combine stores into one account and they are registered under different logins, support staff will help you move the stores to one login and then combine them. Without moving them, stores registered under different logins cannot be combined.
