Market Points
To make your products even more attractive and increase customer loyalty, the Market can run promotions together with sellers. If a product is purchased at a discount as part of such a promotion, the Market will credit Market points to the seller's virtual account — the Balance — in the amount of the resulting discount.
Points are automatically deducted from the Balance to reduce the fee for one of the services at the time of its accrual:
- product placement;
- sales boost;
- impression boost;
- shelves, except shelves with banners and videos;
- middle mile (for the FBS Last Mile model).
As part of such promotions, you will receive points after selling a product if the buyer:
- Bought your product at a discount.
- Used a promo code.
- Paid for the order with Plus points.
The number of points equals the discount amount the buyer received on your item during the promotion. One point equals one ruble.
Example
You sell a product for 1,500 ₽. The buyer placed an order and paid 200 ₽ with Plus points.
After the product is delivered, the Market will credit 200 points to your Balance. You did not use promotion services, so the points will be deducted to reduce the placement service amount.
How to use
Market points are automatically deducted to reduce the cost of services:
- placement;
- sales boost;
- impression boost;
- shelves, except shelves with banners or videos;
- middle mile (for the FBS Last Mile model).
You can reduce the cost of a service with points by a maximum of 99% — so that it amounts to 1%, but not less than 1 ₽ per product unit, delivery, or impressions of one advertising campaign per day. The resulting amount after the reduction will be deducted from buyers' payments via offset.
Example
The placement service cost for the sold product was 300 ₽.
If there are enough points on the Balance, the service cost will be reduced by 297 ₽ and will amount to 3 ₽. The Market will deduct this amount from buyers' payments via offset.
If the buyer returns an order for which points were credited, the Market will:
- Deduct the number of points that were credited to the Balance for the order when handed over to the buyer — at the time of refunding the money to the buyer.
- Credit to the Balance the amount of points that were deducted from the Balance to reduce the placement service for this item — at the moment the item returns to the warehouse or SC. Points deducted as payment for sales boost, impression boost, shelves, and middle mile are not refunded.
If there are unused points left at the end of the month, the Market will transfer them as a bonus. Such a bonus comes together with buyers' payments and can be partially or fully withheld to pay for other Market services via offset.
The Market reflects the bonus payable in the report on the execution of the order, offsetting mutual claims and other payments under the agreement — in the line Bonus provided by the Contractor.
If at the end of the month the Point Balance is negative — the amount of points deducted from the Balance is greater than the amount credited — the Market will deduct the difference from buyers' payments. The Market reflects such deductions in the report on the execution of the order, offsetting mutual claims and other payments under the agreement — in the line Amount of funds according to the Terms for providing a Discount on the placement service and Bonuses.
Where to check
Accruals and deductions for a specific order can be viewed on the order page in the Accruals and services tab: accruals in the Points block, and deductions in the Services block.
Detailed information is also available in the reports on the Finance → Financial reports page: by payments, by orders, and by service costs.
Questions and answers
Can I choose what to spend points on?
No. Points are deducted only to pay for product placement services, sales boost, impression boost, shelves (except shelves with banners or videos) and middle mile (for the FBS Last Mile model).
Can I get discounts back in rubles?
No. For discounts, you will receive points that will automatically go towards paying for product placement services, sales boost, impression boost, shelves (except shelves with banners or videos) and middle mile (for the FBS Last Mile model).
What happens to the points if an order is returned?
If the buyer returns an order for which points were awarded, Market:
- will deduct the amount of points that was credited to the Balance for the order upon delivery to the buyer — at the moment the money is refunded to the buyer;
- will credit to the Balance the amount of points that was deducted from the Balance to reduce the placement service cost for this item — at the moment the item returns to the warehouse or sorting center.
Points deducted as payment for sales boost, impression boost, shelves, and middle mile are not refunded.
What happens if there are more or fewer points than the service amount?
If at the end of the month there are more points than service charges, and you have unused points left — the Market will transfer them to you as a bonus.
If there are fewer points — it will deduct the difference from buyers' payments via offset as usual.
