How to add an item to your account

Step 1

Open the office.

Click Products → Catalog → Upload products.

Enter the name or barcode of your product in the search bar.

If the product is found and there is a button next to it Add — so, the product card is already ready and you just need to:

  1. point out Article number (SKU), the category in your store and the price;
  2. press Add to the catalog.
    After that, you can proceed to adding the next product.

After adding all the products, keep an eye on the progress of the check and the change of their statuses. Instructions are in the article How to check your product catalog.

If the product was not found

If the product was not found or marked with a lock, you will need a separate card for it — click the button Add in the block New product on the right.

Everything is simple in the form of adding a new product, but if you are adding an item for the first time, be sure to click and read the instructions before filling in the field. Provide as much information about the product as possible.

After filling in the basic information about the product, click Continue.

How to specify the weight and dimensions

Measure and weigh the product together with the original packaging, if any.

If the product consists of several separate parts — for example, two boxes, like an air conditioner — check the box The product takes up more than one place and fill in the field Number of seats.

How to measure the dimensions of the product

Here are some recommendations:

  • Fold clothes and textiles in half.
  • If the product consists of several parts or it is a set, put the parts together as compactly as possible.
  • If the product has a non-standard shape, specify the dimensions on the largest side.

Keep track of the accuracy of the data

If the actual weight of the goods packed for shipment in a transport package or the sum of its sides is at least 30% more than the packaging data on the card, you will have to pay a fine for this, and the Market will correct your data in the card.

Specify the correct values in the card and select the appropriate packaging.

Specify the basic information about the products — a complete list here

Not all fields are required, but it is better not to leave them empty — the information in them will help the buyer make a purchase decision, and the product will get into the search results for queries and when using filters on the Market. Why do I need the Product Details section?:

It happens that there are several variants of the same product: for example, versions of a phone with different memory capacity or identical mugs of different colors. In the block Product Details The characteristics that distinguish one option from another are collected.

What is the difference between the color for the filter and the color from the manufacturer

When buyers search for products, they indicate the usual and understandable colors


The name of the color from the manufacturer is the color declared by the manufacturer. It can be anything: "dark night", 008, space gray and so on. It is displayed on the product card that the buyer sees.

The color for the filter is an understandable base color that people will use to find products. For example, black or green. It is best to choose a color for the filter from the list. If nothing fits at all, you can specify your own, but the name should not be unique, but understandable.

Step 3

After defining the category, you will see a block with additional product characteristics. Fill in the specifications as accurately and completely as possible. If you make a mistake, you can edit them.

Each of your stores has its own block on the product page. If you have only one store in your account, then there will be one block on the page. In this block, you can specify all the necessary details: whether the product is available, whether deliveries are expected, delivery dates, and so on.

After filling in the blocks of all the stores where you are going to sell the product, click Save and complete. The market will run a data check and, if everything is in order, after a while the product will be available to customers. The verification takes a maximum of 6 hours, depending on whether such a product has been sold on Yandex Market before.
