How to edit or delete a product
If something is wrong with a product card — for example, information is missing or there is an error in the specifications — it can be corrected. All fields are always available for editing; you can choose product photos at your discretion, change the title, and so on.
If the card is no longer needed, you can delete it.
Important rules
Do not edit a product in the dashboard if automation is enabled
If you use auto-update or API, edit products using these tools, not in the dashboard or via Excel. Otherwise, your changes will be overwritten during the next automatic data update.
Pay special attention to this if different employees work with the dashboard and automation tools.
Example
The store manager instructed an employee to change a product title. Market receives product data automatically via API from the store's server.
The employee opened the dashboard, changed the title, and saved the changes.
On the next API request, Market will detect the old title in the response and restore it. To prevent this, the product title must be changed in the store's system — where Market sends API requests.
Do not replace one product with another via editing
Do not edit information if you need to replace one product with another — for example, changing a phone model or duvet cover sizes.
In this situation, you should not edit the product information but rather delete the old product (if it is no longer needed) and add a new one to the catalog. How to add products
Why?
Each product in the catalog has its own card. Reviews and buyer ratings are collected on it, and Market compares actual product dimensions with the data on it.
For example, your offer for phone model A is displayed on its own card, and buyers have left several reviews for this model.
If you change the title and description to model B, other data on the card will not change. People will see reviews for model A and order the product thinking they will receive it. This will increase the number of returns, and confusion will arise during processing and delivery because the actual product and the product on the card are different.
How to edit
It is most convenient to make point changes in the dashboard. If you need to fill in many product cards from the same category at once, it is convenient to do so using a special Excel template.
On the product page in the dashboard
- Select Products → Catalog.
- Find the required product in the list and click on its name.
- The product page will open — edit everything you need on it.
- Click Save.
Using an Excel file
If you use Excel templates to add products, you can also update product information through them.
Note: You can choose exactly which product parameters will be updated. This mechanism allows you to change specific characteristics without accidentally affecting others.
Instructions are included in the template itself.
Rules:
- Do not change the file structure: names and order of sheets and columns.
- Do not leave empty rows between filled ones in the file.
- Do not use tab characters or line breaks. Do not insert formulas or links to other cells and files into cells.
- If a cell has a dropdown list, use values from it; otherwise, the product will not appear in filters.
- If the template contains more than 15,000 products, split it into two files.
- Select Products → Catalog.
- Use filters to select the required products.
- In the top right corner, click Upload products → Excel template.
- Choose which cards you want to edit — All products at once or By categories.
- Once the file is generated and downloaded, open it and make all necessary changes.
- Upload the file back to Market.
The file will be sent for verification — first technical, then content verification.
Verification results will appear on the same page. If the file fails technical verification, you will see the status File incorrect or Products with errors. Click Details next to this status to see a description of the found errors.
If verification is passed, go to Catalog to monitor the card update process.
Always download the current version of the file from Market before editing
Do not use old files stored on your computer to upload updated data — otherwise, outdated data may accidentally enter the catalog.

How to delete a product from the catalog
A product can be deleted from the general catalog in the dashboard — it will disappear from all stores, and the article number (SKU) will be freed up. What is an article number (SKU)
To delete one by one: click the three-dot button in the product row and select Delete.
To delete multiple or all:
- In the dashboard, select Products → Catalog.
- Check all products you want to delete.
- The Delete button will appear — click it.
What to consider

If the product is in an Excel file or transmitted via API — be sure to remove it from all files and exports. If you do not do this, the product will be added back during the next update.

Deletion takes up to three hours.

You cannot delete a product from an FBP store that is stored in a Market warehouse. To delete such a product, wait for it to be sold or retrieve it from the warehouse.
