Reviews and rating
This page is outdated. If you have any questions about this section, please contact your manager.
Buyers can rate a purchased item and add a review for it. Product ratings form its overall rating — this affects how high the product appears in search results and determines whether it gets into the High rating filter.
More than half of buyers pay attention to the product rating and reviews. If an item is offered by multiple sellers, good ratings and reviews will increase the likelihood that buyers will choose your specific product, even if its price is higher.
Customer ratings and reviews can be viewed in your dashboard on the Products → Reviews page.
A buyer can leave a review and rate your product if they received and picked it up, or received it and later decided to return it.
Market counts only verified ratings from real buyers
Market checks all reviews. If a review violates the service rules, or a rating was given to artificially inflate or deflate the rating, accidentally, or is spam — such ratings or reviews will not affect anything and will not be published.
If you are sure a review is a mistake, contact Market support no later than 30 days from the publication date of the review and provide its ID.
The product card only shows reviews from your buyers. If you delete the card, all reviews and ratings will also be deleted — it will be impossible to restore them.
Store rating
The store rating is the arithmetic mean of the ratings of all your products over the last 365 days — including those hidden from the storefront, archived, or deleted. In the dashboard, it is displayed as Average product rating.
Example
A store sells phones and related accessories. Its assortment includes several different products:
- A phone with 4 ratings.
- Headphones with 2 ratings, the product itself is archived.
- A screen protector with 1 rating, hidden from the storefront.
- A phone case with 1 rating from an order where the buyer did not pick up the item at the pickup point.
According to the rules, ratings of all products with purchases will be considered for calculating the rating. The calculation will include ratings of all products except the case.
The phone ratings for the last 365 days are 5, 4, 4, 5; the headphones — 5, 5; the screen protector — 4.
The arithmetic mean of all ratings will be calculated using the formula , resulting in 4.6. The average product rating will be 4.6.
How to reply to reviews
In the dashboard, open Products → Reviews → click on a product in the list → Reply.
The store's reputation is influenced, among other things, by how it reacts to praise, criticism, and how it responds to buyers if order issues arise. Answer buyers politely, thank them for their purchase, and, if necessary, advise them on how best to use your product.
Try not to leave negative customer reviews unanswered.
Do not include store contacts or website links in your replies — Market moderators may hide such a response.
Collecting reviews for Yandex Plus points
Products with reviews are added to the cart and ordered more often — even a small number of reviews is enough to increase sales. You can motivate buyers to leave reviews more often by offering them a reward in Yandex Plus points.
You choose the products and the number of points a buyer will receive for leaving a review of your product with a photo or video attached. The buyer will receive exactly as many points for text, photos, or videos as you specified in the campaign settings — Market does not charge extra for this. 1 point equals 1 ruble.
Points for reviews can also be awarded by product manufacturers and Market itself.
How it works
You can offer points for reviews only for products that currently have fewer than 1000 reviews. The products must be new — discounted or used items cannot be added to the campaign.
For each campaign, you need to specify a goal — the total number of reviews the product should reach. This includes any reviews — both those for Plus points and those buyers left on their own initiative.
Market will offer points for leaving a review to new buyers and those who bought the participating product before the collection started (and have not yet left a review).
Until the goal is reached, Market will:
- Show a special badge on your product cards — on the storefront and in search results.
- Remind buyers of the opportunity to get points after purchase — on the main page, in the personal account, in push notifications, and when rating a purchased product.
It doesn't matter if the buyer has a Yandex Plus subscription — everyone will see the offer to get points. If the buyer doesn't have a subscription, Market will prompt them to subscribe to get points for the review.
When a sufficient number of reviews is collected, the campaign will stop, and Market will no longer show the badge or offer points. You will only need to pay for the reviews that buyers left through the points offer.
Example
Your product already has 5 buyer reviews. You decided it needs 15 more reviews for good sales. You set up a campaign, offered buyers 50 Plus points per review, and set a goal — to collect 20 reviews on the product card.
After that, Market users bought your product several times and left 10 more reviews through the Market offer for Plus points and 5 reviews on their own initiative. In total, the product reached 20 reviews, so Market automatically stopped offering points. For the entire campaign, you will pay 500 ₽ — 50 ₽ each for 10 reviews.
How reviews are counted
Market will collect reviews for all products you added to the campaigns.
If a product disappears from the storefront and does not reappear within 90 days, Market will stop collecting reviews for points for it. If the product later reappears on the storefront, we will automatically resume its participation in the campaign.
If a product card has several variants — Market will count the total number of reviews across all variants.
Example
A t-shirt product card has three color variants — red, blue, and black. For the red t-shirts, you set a goal of 50 reviews, for the blue ones — 100, and decided not to promote the black ones.
The red and blue ones already have 1 review each, and the black ones have 49. Review collection will only start for the blue t-shirts; it won't start for the red ones, as the total number of reviews on the card already exceeds 50.
How to pay
Payment happens automatically — the amount for reviews is deducted from buyer payments once a month. If buyer payments are not enough to cover the cost, the missing amount must be sent to Market via bank transfer.
You only need to pay for the reviews that buyers left via the Plus points offer.
The review collection campaign turns off with a slight delay. If a new buyer sees the offer and adds the product to their cart or orders it during this time, and leaves a review later — you will also need to pay for it.
How to set up
The campaign will work for all stores in the dashboard. You can create an unlimited number of review collection campaigns.
For flexible setup, Market divides all your products into 4 groups — by price. In each group, you can separately set how many points the buyer gets for a text review, a photo, and a video — not exceeding the product's price and not below the minimum value applicable to this group:
|

Usually, a campaign starts working within 4 hours.
If you added a product to several campaigns, the campaign with the higher points for a review will apply to it.
How to edit
You can edit or disable a campaign at any time — on the Promotion → Reviews for points page, open the Campaigns tab, click on the campaign in the list, and make the necessary changes.
Here you can set individual settings for specific products in the campaign — for example, offer more points for a text review. Individual settings cannot be assigned to variants of the same product model — for example, for the same phone with different storage capacities.
You can remove a product from a campaign on that product's page in the dashboard or on the campaign page.
How to view statistics
Open the Promotion → Reviews for points page. Market will show statistics for the selected period: number of reviews, average ratings, expenses, and other details.
To view statistics for a specific campaign, switch to the Campaigns tab.
A detailed report on points expenses is available on the Finance or Finance → Financial reports → By cost of services page. In the reports, points for text, photos, and videos are displayed in different rows. For example, you offer 50 points for a text review and 25 points for media. If a buyer left a text review and attached an image, the report will show 2 different rows with the same Review ID — 50 ₽ for text and 25 ₽ for media.
