Yandex.Market promotions
Yandex Market regularly hosts promotions for customers dedicated to holidays, seasons, and so on.
When the promotion starts, the Market tells customers about it and draws their attention to profitable offers: people receive newsletters and push notifications, see banners on the service, and get to beautiful landing pages.
The market includes product categories that are expected to be in high demand. For example, on Knowledge Day, a sale of goods useful for studying is launched. Any seller who sells suitable products can participate in the promotion. To do this, you need to provide discounts to customers in one way or another. The amount of discounts is stipulated in the terms of the promotion.
How to participate in promotions
Choose stocks automatically
Available for the "Best Sellers of the Market".
You can set up an automatic selection of promotions with suitable conditions for products, so as not to add them manually and not miss out on additional promotion. To do this, fill in the Crossed out price field and specify the discount that you are ready to make on the product — you will not need anything else.
The market does not reduce your prices
The product will be sold in the showcase at the price you set.
Which promotions are suitable
The product will be included in the promotion if it meets its conditions. You can view them on the promotion page in your account.
This is affected by:
- Product category. For example, kettles may be included in the promotion for kitchen appliances, but televisions may not.
- The discount amount you have assigned is the difference between the Crossed out price and the Product price. For example, if a promotion offers customers discounts of 10% or more, your discount should be 10% or more, and products with a 5% discount will not be included in the promotion.

A product can also get into the "Market Bestsellers" due to a sales boost: if the Market algorithms consider that participating in the promotion is beneficial for you and will bring more orders with a small discount, the product will be added to it.
To do this, specify the price of the product before the discount, set up a boost and include a pricing strategy in it. There will be no additional costs — you will pay no more for participation in the promotion than the rate you specified in the boost settings. Learn more about sales boost and pricing strategy
Example
The price of the product for participation in the "Best Sellers of the Market" must not exceed 95 ₽. There is a product in the seller's assortment with a price of 100 ₽. With it, it does not meet the requirements of the promotion.
The seller has set up a sales boost with a 10% rate and a pricing strategy, which means that the Market can discount the product at the expense of the assigned bid, if this helps the product to get more prominent places and attract the attention of customers.
The discounted price of the product can become 90 ₽ due to the pricing strategy. This price is suitable for the "Best Sellers of the Market", so the product will be included in the promotion automatically.

How to see which products are automatically added to the promotion
This can be seen in the Prices section and on the page of the promotion itself.
Go to the section Products → Prices. In the column On the showcase, click on Promotions. The list of promotions in which the product participates opens. There will also be hints on what needs to be fixed if auto-participation didn't work.
On the promotions page in the section Promotion → Promotions automatically added products will be marked with:

If the product is included in the promotion only in a part of your stores, you will see a mark about it. Click on it to see the details for each store.
Click on it to see the reason and recommendations of the Market.
Select stocks manually
Temporarily available only to sellers with mutual settlements in rubles.
It works for all types of stocks. The promotions are valid for the product in all cabinet stores.
Who can manage participation in Market promotions
Only the owner and administrator of the cabinet.
To select stocks, open Promotion → Promotions. You will see a calendar of sales that the Market is already holding or has just planned, as well as your own promotions. The page only shows sales for which you have the right products. Next to each promotion, its type is indicated — discount, flash, promo code. Click on the promotion to read the details and conditions.

To see all the relevant promotions in a list, go to the tab The list.
How to add products to a promotion
There are two ways to add products:
- Click on the promotion in the calendar, and then — Add products.
- Select the products in the list and click Confirm participation.
- Click on the promotion in the calendar, and then — Add products.
- Switch to the Upload File tab and click Download the list. It will take a few minutes to generate the file. After that, you can download it.
- Fill in the file, following the instructions inside it.
- Send the file back to the Market: click Upload File and select the completed file on your computer.

Discounts will be valid for the entire duration of the promotion and will be disabled automatically when it ends.
If you add products to the promotion when it is already underway, the changes will be displayed on the showcase in about 4–6 hours.
How to change the promotion settings or stop participating
Click on the promotion in the calendar, and then — Go to the promotion.

You can add or remove products, change settings for specific products, or opt out of the promotion.
If there are a lot of products, you can do this via an Excel file.:
- Download the file by clicking Edit Products → Download the file → Download the list.
- Edit the file and upload it to the Market. If you delete the product line from the Excel file, it will still remain in the promotion. To remove an item from it, follow the instructions inside the file.
Please note: the changes to the promotion will take effect and will be displayed on the showcase in about 4–6 hours.
Details about different types of promotions
Where to view the history of changes in the promotion
In the cabinet, go to Promotion → Promotions → Calendar, click on the desired promotion → To generate a history report. There is also a report in the tab List: go to it, click
If the promotion has already ended, go to the tab Past, select the desired promotion and click Download Revision History.
To find out the history of changes for individual products, open the promotion via Calendar or List and click next to the desired product
In the report, yandex.Market will show:
- who launched or completed the promotion and when;
- who added or deleted a certain product and when;
- who set or changed the prices for the goods and what prices;
- how products were added or data was changed: manually in the cabinet, in an Excel file, through the API.
Where to view the results of participation in the promotion
You can view the results of participation in all the promotions and in each one individually.:

For all promotions, go to the Promotions section. Yandex.Market will show you a widget with the results for the past 14 days, and your dynamics — an increase or decrease in the number of impressions and orders. The data is compared with the figures for the previous two weeks.
What it looks like

Click Results to go to the Sales Analytics section and view the details for individual categories and products.

For a separate promotion, go to the Promotions section, and then to the desired promotion via the calendar or list. The market will show a widget with the results of participation from the start date of the promotion.
If you have a widget on the promotion page with information about an additional discount from the Market, it means that in this promotion the Market reduces the price of the product at its own expense. How it works

You can also download a report with all orders containing products sold under the promotion. In the cabinet, open Promotion → Promotions:
- if the promotion is still running, go to its page in the calendar or list, and then click on Order Report;
- to see the completed promotions, go to the tab Past, then click on Order report next to the desired promotion.
