Phone number instead of username
Using your main phone number as an additional username allowed you to:
- Enter your phone number wherever a Yandex username was required.
- Use the
number@yandex.ruaddress as an email alias.

To send an email to this address, you can enter a number in any format (without spaces): Yandex Mail recognizes both +15641234567@yandex.com and 15641234567@yandex.com.
Warning
Due to security concerns, we disabled using the main phone number as an additional login. This feature will no longer work, even for users who previously had it enabled. You can continue to use your phone number as an email alias if this feature is enabled on your account.
If you have lost your SIM card or simply wish to disable this feature, please contact support.
If you change your phone number, this feature will be automatically disabled. If your email alias is associated with important third-party services, we recommend that you update your email address in those services before you change your phone number. After you change your phone number, you won't be able to keep or restore this email alias.
When the number of accounts your phone number is linked to exceeds ten, Yandex will automatically unlink the number from the first account it was associated with. If the first account used the number as an email alias, this option will be permanently disabled for that account. You can't enable that option again.
