# Disable logging in using a one-time password

Before you delete your account from Yandex ID (Key), go back to using a regular password in Yandex ID. If you delete your Yandex ID (Key) account without changing the login method, you won't be able to disable logging in with a one-time password for this account. In this case, you will have to [restore access](https://www.yandex.com/support/id/en/authorization/twofa-restore.md).

To go back to using a regular password:

1. Open the [Safety](https://id.yandex.com/security) tab.
    
1. In the **Login method** section, click the current login method.
    
1. In the list, select **Password + sms** or **Standard password**.
    
1. On the page that opens, enter a [one-time password](https://www.yandex.com/support/id/en/authorization/otp.md#login-with-otp) from the Yandex ID (Key) app to confirm the changes.
    
1. Set a standard password for your account.
    

You'll need to create new [app passwords](https://www.yandex.com/support/id/en/authorization/app-passwords.md) for third-party apps and mail importers because your old passwords will stop working after you disable logging in with a one-time password. You can create new passwords on the [app password management page](https://id.yandex.com/security/app-passwords).
