You can also use Yandex ID (Key) in the [Yandex with Alice](https://redirect.appmetrica.yandex.ru/serve/26899898137909508?c=help) and [Yandex Start](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.yandex.searchplugin) apps. To do this, open the home screen of the app, tap the profile picture , and select **Key**. Follow the instructions on this page to connect Yandex ID (Key) to popular services and social networks or switch to Yandex ID (Key) if you already use a different code generator. If a service that you want to use with Yandex ID (Key) is not found in the list below, please follow the [general instructions](#general). ## VK {#vk} {% list tabs %} - First activation If you haven't enabled 2-step verification yet: 1. Go to the [Security](https://vk.com/settings?act=security) page in your account settings. 1. In the **2-step verification** section, click **Enable**. 1. Click **Enable verification**. 1. Enter your password in the **Action confirmation** window and click **Confirm**. 1. You'll get a call on your phone number. Enter the last four digits of the incoming number in the field that appears and click **Confirm**. 1. Click **Setup completed**. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose VKontakte from the list provided. On the next screen, type in your username (phone number or email address) and the secret code shown under the QR code in the browser. 1. Type the code from Yandex ID (Key) in the **Confirmation code** field and click **Confirm**. - Replacing your old code generator If you already use 2-step verification, but want to switch from a different code generator app to Yandex ID (Key), follow these steps: 1. Go to the [Security](https://vk.com/settings?act=security) page in your account settings. 1. In the **2-step verification** section, click the **(set up)** link next to **Code generating app**. 1. Enter the password for your VK account. In the **Configure code generator app** section, click **Reconfigure**. This will open a pop-up window with a QR code and secret key. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose VKontakte from the list provided. On the next screen, type in your username (phone number or email address) and the secret code shown under the QR code in the browser. 1. Type the code from Yandex ID (Key) in the **Confirmation code** field and click **Confirm**. {% endlist %} ## Amazon {#amazon} {% list tabs %} - First activation If you haven't enabled two-step authentication yet: 1. Go to the [two-factor authentication setup page](https://www.amazon.com/a/settings/approval). 1. Click **Get Started**. 1. In the page that opens, select the **Authenticator App** option. A block with a QR code will open. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose Amazon from the list provided. Click the **Can't scan the barcode?** link in the browser. Then enter your Amazon username and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). 1. Enter the code generated by Yandex ID (Key) in the field below and click **Verify OTP and continue**. 1. Familiarize yourself with how two-factor authentication works on Amazon, and click **Got it. Turn on Two-Step Verification**. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already enabled two-factor authentication, but want to use Yandex ID (Key) instead of your old code generator, you should first clear the old settings: 1. Go to the [two-factor authentication setup page](https://www.amazon.com/a/settings/approval). 1. Click **Disable**. 1. Enter your password, click **Sign-In** and enter the code. Click **Sign-In**. 1. Select **Also clear my Two-Step Verification settings** in the pop-up window and click **Disable**. Click **Skip** to return to Security settings. Now you can re-enable two-factor authentication using Yandex ID (Key). Go to the [Security setup page](https://www.dropbox.com/account/security). 1. Enable two-step verification. 1. Click **Get started** in the pop-up window. 1. Enter the current account password and click **Next**. 1. Select the **Use a mobile app** option and click **Next**. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose Dropbox from the list provided. Click the **enter your secret key manually** link in the browser and then enter your Dropbox username and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). Click **Next**. 1. Enter the code generated by Yandex ID (Key) and click **Next**. 1. Enter your phone number if you want to set up a backup two-factor authentication method. Then, click **Next**. 1. Record or print your backup codes and click **Enable two-step verification**. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already enabled two-step authentication, but now you want to use Yandex ID (Key) to generate codes: 1. Go to the [Security setup page](https://www.dropbox.com/account/security). 1. Use the **Edit** link next to **Authenticator app**. 1. Enter the current account password and click **Next**. 1. Select the **Use a mobile app** option and click **Next**. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose Dropbox from the list provided. Click the **enter your secret key manually** link in the browser and then enter your Dropbox username and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). Click **Next**. 1. Go to the [Security setup page](https://www.evernote.com/secure/SecuritySettings.action). 1. Follow the **Enable** link in the **Two-Step Verification** section. 1. Click **Continue**, then click **Continue** again in the alert window. 1. Click **Send Verification Email** and confirm your email address. 1. Confirm your phone number: enter the code received by SMS and click **Continue**. Enter the backup number or click **Skip**. 1. Click the button for the platform where you use Yandex ID (Key). 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose Evernote from the list provided. Click the **Can't scan the barcode?** link in the browser. Then enter your Evernote username and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). 1. Enter the code generated by Yandex ID (Key) and click **Continue**. 1. Record at least one backup code to use to enter your account. You'll need it to complete the next step. Click **Continue**. 1. Enter the backup code that you had recorded in the previous step and click **Complete Setup**. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already enabled two-factor authentication, but want to use Yandex ID (Key) instead of your old code generator, you should first clear the old settings: 1. Go to the [Security setup page](https://www.evernote.com/secure/SecuritySettings.action). 1. Click **Manage Settings** in the **Two-step verification is enabled** block. 1. Use the **Disable Two-Step Verification** link and click **Confirm**. Now you can re-enable two-factor authentication using Yandex ID (Key). Go to the [FastMail website](https://www.fastmail.com). 1. Click on the **Mail** menu button with your address (in the upper left corner) and go to the **Settings** block. 1. In the **ACCOUNT** graph, select **Password & Security**. 1. In the **Two-Step Verification** line, click **Add**. 1. Enter the base password. You will need to enter this password along with the code every time you want to log in using Yandex ID (Key). Click **Unlock**. 1. Click **Add Recovery Phone**. Enter your number and click **Send Verification Code**. Enter the code you received and click **Verify**. 1. To return to the two-factor authentication settings page, click **Done**. 1. Click **Set Up Two-Step Verification**. 1. Select **Authentication App (TOTP)** and set the app name. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose FastMail from the list provided. Enter your FastMail login and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). 1. Enter the code generated by Yandex ID (Key) and click **Save**. Now, to log in to FastMail, you will need to enter the base password, click **Log In**, enter the code generated by Yandex ID (Key), and click **Verify**. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already configured a code generator and you now want to switch to Yandex ID (Key): 1. Go to the [FastMail website](https://www.fastmail.com) and log in using the master password. 1. Click on the **Mail** menu button with your address (in the upper left corner) and go to the **Settings** block. 1. In the **ACCOUNT** graph, select **Password & Security**. 1. In the **Two-Step Verification** line, click **Manage**. 1. Confirm your password. 1. Click the **Remove** button next to the name of the app. Now you can re-enable two-factor authentication using Yandex ID (Key). Go to the [LastPass website](https://lastpass.com). 1. Click the **Account Settings** item in the menu on the left. 1. In the window that opens, go to the **Multifactor Options** tab. 1. Click the pencil icon in the **Google Authenticator** line. 1. In the **Enabled** pop-up list, select **Yes**. 1. In the **Barcode** row, click the **View** link. 1. Enter your current LastPass password and click **Continue**. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose LastPass from the list provided. Click **OK** in the browser. Then click the **View** link in the **Private Key** line. Enter your LastPass login in Yandex ID (Key). 1. Click **OK**, then click **Update**. 1. Enter the code generated by Yandex ID (Key). Enter your password and click **OK**. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already enabled two-step authentication, but now you want to use Yandex ID (Key) to generate codes: 1. Go to the [LastPass website](https://lastpass.com). 1. Click the **Account Settings** item in the menu on the left. 1. In the window that opens, go to the **Multifactor Options** tab. 1. Click the pencil icon in the **Google Authenticator** line. 1. Click **Regenerate** in the **Regenerate Key** line. Then click **OK**. Confirm your password and click **Continue**. Now you can re-enable two-factor authentication using Yandex ID (Key). Go to the [Security setup page](https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage). 1. In the **Two-step verification** block, click **Turn on**. 1. In the page that opens, click **Next**. 1. Select **set up a different Authenticator app.**. A page with a QR code will open. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose Microsoft from the list provided. Click on the **I can't scan the bar code** link in the browser. Then enter your username in Microsoft services and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). 1. Enter the code from Yandex ID (Key) in the **Code generated by app** field and click **Next**. 1. If you use Windows Phone, follow the instructions that appear. Then click **Next**. 1. Read the information about application passwords. Then click **Finish**. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already enabled two-step authentication, but now you want to use Yandex ID (Key) to generate codes: 1. Go to the [Security setup page](https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage). 1. Click the **Add a new way to sign in or verify** link and select **Use an app**. 1. Select **set up a different Authenticator app.**. A page with a QR code will open. 1. You will see a warning that the code generator you previously used will stop working if you set up a new one. Click **Next**. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose Microsoft from the list provided. Click on the **I can't scan the bar code** link in the browser. Then enter your username in Microsoft services and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). 1. Go to the [setup page for your account](https://slack.com/account/settings). 1. Click **Expand** in the **Two Factor Authentication** block. 1. Click **Setup Two Factor Authentication**. 1. Enter your current Slack password and click **Confirm Password**. 1. Click the **Use an app** block. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and chooseSlack from the list provided. Click the **Can't scan this barcode?** link in the browser. Then enter your Slack username and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). 1. Enter the code generated by Yandex ID (Key) in the **Enter Verification Code** block and click **Verify Code and Activate**. Then you can confirm the phone number to get codes via SMS if Yandex ID (Key) is unavailable for any reason. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already enabled two-step authentication, but now you want to use Yandex ID (Key) to generate codes: 1. Go to the [setup page for your account](https://slack.com/account/settings). 1. Click **Expand** in the **Two Factor Authentication** block. 1. Click **Deactivate two factor authentication**. Now you can re-enable two-factor authentication using Yandex ID (Key). To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose TeamViewer from the list provided. Click the **enter the secret key manually** link in the browser and then enter your TeamViewer username and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). 1. Click **Next**. 1. Write down or print the recovery code. 1. Enter the code generated by Yandex ID (Key) and click **Activate**. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already enabled two-step authentication, but now you want to use Yandex ID (Key) to generate codes: 1. Go to the [setup page for your account](https://login.teamviewer.com/nav/profile). 1. Click the **Deactivate** link in the **Two factor authentication** block. 1. Flip the switch to **Generate code via authenticator app**. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you couldn't scan the QR code, contact [Tumblr support](https://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/account_security). 1. Enter the code from Yandex ID (Key) in the field below the barcode and click **Enable**. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already enabled two-step authentication, but now you want to use Yandex ID (Key) to generate codes: 1. Go to the [Security setup page](https://www.tumblr.com/settings/account). 1. Disable the **Two-factor authentication** switch in the **Security** block. 1. Enter your Tumblr password and click **Disable**. 1. Re-enable the **Generate code via authenticator app** switch. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. Go to the [two-factor authentication setup page](https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step). 1. Select **Set up using an app** and click **Get Started**. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose WordPress from the list provided. Click on the **Can't scan the barcode?** link in the browser. Then enter your wordpress.com username and the secret key from Yandex ID (Key). 1. Enter the code from Yandex ID (Key) in the field next to the QR code and click **Enable**. 1. Print or record your reserve codes and check **I have printed or saved these codes**. Then click **All Finished**. - Replacing your old code generator If you have already enabled two-step authentication, but now you want to use Yandex ID (Key) to generate codes: 1. Go to the [two-factor authentication setup page](https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step). 1. Click **Disable Two-Step Authentication**. 1. Enter the verification code and click **Disable Two-Step**. Now you can re-enable two-factor authentication using Yandex ID (Key). If you already use a code generator, you may need to disable it first. To add a service that is not supported by Yandex ID (Key): 1. When setting up two-factor authentication, find the QR code or secret key that should be entered in the code generator. 1. Open Yandex ID (Key) on your phone and tap «+» to add a new account. The app will ask you to point your phone's camera at the QR code in your browser window. If you cannot successfully scan the QR code, you can add the account manually. To do this, tap on the words under the image that the camera displays. Then tap **Choose another service** and choose **Other service** from the list provided. Enter the service name, the username you use to log in to it, and the secret key. 1. Enter the code generated by Yandex ID (Key) in the service. If all settings are correct, the code will be accepted and you will be able to use two-factor authentication.
