# Switch language

## Change layout {#swipe}

There are several ways to change the layout:

#### Tap the button

The classic way is to tap the ![](_images/icon-globe.png =17x20) button. Adjust the position of the ![](_images/icon-globe.png =17x20) button for your convenience: it may be located to the left or to the right of the space bar. You can do this in the settings: open the Yandex Keyboard app and go to **Keys** → **Globe key position**.

#### Don't take your finger off the screen

With Yandex Keyboard, you can switch between languages without taking your finger off the screen. This may come handy when you're on public transport and find it hard to hit the right key, for example. To change the layout, swipe the space bar to the left or right.

If you only use this way of changing the layout, you can disable the ![](_images/icon-globe.png =17x20) button:

1. Tap and hold the ![](_images/icon-globe.png =17x20) icon next to the space bar and select ![](_images/android-setting.svg).

1. Go to **Keys**.

1. Disable the option **Language switch key**.


## Select languages {#languages}

To choose which languages to switch the layout to:

1. Tap and hold the ![](_images/icon-globe.png =17x20) icon next to the space bar and select ![](_images/android-setting.svg).

1. Tap **Language**.

1. Select the languages from the list.

To remove a language from the list, tap ![](_images/delete-clipboard.svg).
