# Input settings

## Type messages faster and with more convenience {#quicker}

Yandex Keyboard will help you:

- [Type](https://www.yandex.com/support/keyboard-android/en/gesture-input.md) without taking your finger off the screen.

- Type with one finger.

- Capitalize letters, add periods and spaces.

- Enter special characters and numbers without switching to the character keyboard.

- Paste information from clipboard directly from the keyboard.

- [Control](https://www.yandex.com/support/keyboard-android/en/move-cursor.md) the cursor.

To adjust the input parameters:

1. Tap and hold the ![](_images/icon-globe.png =17x20) icon next to the space bar and select ![](_images/android-setting.svg).
    
2. Activate the necessary options.
    


## Set up sound and vibration {#sounds-vibrations}

1. Tap and hold the ![](_images/icon-globe.png =17x20) icon next to the space bar and select ![](_images/android-setting.svg).
    
2. Go to **Sound and vibration** and activate the options you need.

## Switch to one-handed typing mode {#finger}

To set up the keyboard to print with one hand, tap and hold the ![](_images/icon-globe.png =17x20) icon and select ![](_images/one-arm-phone.svg). To change the hand, tap ![](_images/arrowhead.svg). To disable the option, tap ![](_images/crosshair.svg).

You can activate one-handed mode in the keyboard settings: go to **Appearance** and enable the **One-handed mode** option.
