Manage filters

By setting filters for incoming emails in the Yandex.Mail app, you can automatically:
  • Sort emails by relevant folders and label them.
  • Mark messages as read.
  • Delete certain messages upon receipt.

Create filter

  1. Pull the screen to the right.
  2. Tap Settings (under the list of folders and labels).
  3. Select the account for which you want to set filters.
  4. Select Manage filters.
  5. Click Create filter.
  6. Set the conditions:
    • Sender contains: Specify the senders' email addresses or names. This will filter messages from senders whose email addresses or names you have specified.
    • Subject contains: Specify words or phrases. This will filter messages with the specified words or phrases in the subject field.

    Specify whether you want both conditions to be met simultaneously: select All conditions are met or At least one condition is met.

  7. In Actions, select what you want to do with the filtered messages: move them to a folder, label, mark as read, or delete.

  8. If you want to apply a filter both to new messages and messages that are already in your mailbox, tap Apply to existing emails.
  9. Tap Create.

Edit filter

To edit a filter, go to the list of all filters, tap the one you need, and specify new settings.

Note. Some filters created on the computer can't be edited in the Yandex.Mail app. In the filter list, they are marked as Can only be edited on a computer. You can edit them in the Yandex.Mail web interface.

Disable or delete a filter

In the filter list, tap the one you need and then tap  → Disable or Delete.

  3. Select Problem.
  4. Select a subject.
  5. Describe your problem in as much detail as possible.

This way your request will be received by the right support specialists and you will get a quicker response.
