# Unit types

The unit type determines the ad's available [formats](https://www.yandex.com/support/partner/en/web/units/formats/index.md) and position on the page. The following unit types are available:

- [Banner](https://www.yandex.com/support/partner/en/web/units/types/banner.md) units adapt to the size of their framing container. You can place the same unit on different versions of your site, and users will see it on all devices.

- [Fullscreen](https://www.yandex.com/support/partner/en/web/units/types/fullscreen.md) units occupy the whole screen. You need to create a separate ad unit for each version of your site.

- [Rewarded](https://www.yandex.com/support/partner/en/web/units/types/rewarded.md) units occupy the entire screen. The user gets a reward for viewing the ad to the end. You need to create a separate ad unit for each version of your site.

- [Floor Ad](https://www.yandex.com/support/partner/en/web/units/types/floor-ad.md) units are fixed at the bottom of the screen on top of the site content. You need to create a separate ad unit for each version of your site.

- [Top Ad](https://www.yandex.com/support/partner/en/web/units/types/top-ad.md) units appear on top of the site content at the top of the screen only on mobile devices.

- [Feed](https://www.yandex.com/support/partner/en/web/units/types/feed.md) appears as an ad feed. You can place the same unit on different versions of your site, and users will see it on all devices.

- [In-Image](https://www.yandex.com/support/partner/en/web/units/types/in-image.md) ad units appear top of site images. You can place the same unit on different versions of your site, and users will see it on all devices.

- [Overlay ᵝ](https://www.yandex.com/support/partner/en/web/units/types/overlay.md) appears on top of the page on mobile devices and covers part of the screen while keeping the rest of the content visible.
