Bank cards and accounts

You can link a bank card or account to your Yandex ID to quickly pay for products and services on Yandex and in partner stores. You won't have to enter your card or account details every time you pay: they will be filled in automatically. You might only need to specify your card's CVC/CVV.

The card will be linked to your Yandex ID and displayed in your account if you:

  • Specify your card details in Yandex ID.
  • Add it to a Yandex app or service (such as Yandex Taxi).
  • Use it to make a payment on a Yandex service (such as to buy tickets on Yandex Afisha) and allow the service to save your card details for future purchases.

You can only link a bank account when making a payment through Yandex Pay.

You can unlink a card or account at any time in the Yandex ID settings or the service where you linked it.

Attention. Cards and accounts are linked to your Yandex ID, not individual Yandex services or apps, and are used on all services you log in to with the same Yandex account. For example, if you linked a bank card to Yandex ID via the Yandex Disk app and then logged in to Yandex Music with the same account and purchased a subscription, the linked card will be used for payment. Auto-payments for renewing subscriptions will also be charged to this card.

What cards can be linked

You can link Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, and Mir debit and credit cards. Linking may not work if the card doesn't support online payments. To check if your card can make online purchases, contact your bank.

The bank card must be protected with 3D Secure technology, otherwise you won't be able to link it. Banks generally enable this protection by default. In this case, all payments you make on the internet must be confirmed with one-time passwords that the bank sends via SMS. If your card does not support this technology, contact your bank.

How to link a card or account

  1. Open the Yandex Pay tab.
  2. Under Payment methods, click Add card to Yandex Pay.
  3. Enter the card number and expiration date.
  4. Enter the CVC or CCV code (usually located on the back of a card).
  5. Click Add.

We hold a small amount (up to ₽11) on your account to check if your card is valid. The money isn't deducted and becomes available again after the check is finished. If the amount held is not returned, contact support and provide the card number, your Yandex ID, and the name of the Yandex service that you used to link the card.

How to use multiple linked bank cards and accounts

You can link multiple cards and accounts. Then the service will ask you to choose one of them for payment when you buy tickets, movies, or subscriptions.

For services such as Yandex.Drive and Yandex.Taxi, you can specify a default card. You can do this in the respective app settings.

There is a bank card in Yandex ID that I didn't link

It's possible that you linked this card in another Yandex service. If someone else's card number is displayed in Yandex ID, you can unlink it.

If you think someone else linked the bank card to your account:

  1. Unlink the card.
  2. Log out of your Yandex account (on the Security tab, click Log out on all devices).
  3. Log in with Yandex ID and change your password.

How to unlink a card or account

  1. Open the Yandex Pay page.
  2. Under Payment methods, click on the card or account you don't need.
  3. Click Remove.
