Yandex AI finds answers combining the capabilities of a search engine and generative neural networks. Search with Yandex AI handles complex questions that require researching multiple topics across the web.

Here are a few examples of such questions: "What plants grow well in shade without daily watering?" or "What do I need to climb Everest?" Yandex AI breaks such questions into parts, finds the most relevant sources, analyzes them, and synthesizes the information into a single answer. Yandex AI doesn't make things up: it relies on up-to-date information and provides links to sources.

After you receive an answer, you can ask Yandex AI follow-up questions or clarify details in a conversational format. Each response preserves the context of your previous question. Search with Yandex AI understands when up-to-date information matters, so it will show dates for upcoming concerts and festivals and provide detailed recaps of how your favorite team performed.

Where to see the answer

Yandex AI is available in Yandex Search for all accounts except kids accounts.

Yandex AI answers appear when they're useful and can save time. They are generated immediately after you enter a query and appear above search results as concise, informative summaries.

How to make a query

1. In Yandex Search, type your question in any form — just as it comes to mind. More detailed questions produce better answers.

2. Yandex AI analyzes your query and generates an answer after reviewing multiple relevant sources.

For elementary and middle school math questions, Yandex AI uses a special math problem-solving mode. Search with Yandex AI can provide answers even when no solutions are available online, but you can only see them after going through the step-by-step explanation.

To solve a math problem with Yandex AI, upload a photo in the Yandex app (handwritten texts are fine too) or type the text of the problem into the search bar.

How to handle the answer

After receiving an answer from Yandex AI, you can:

1. Clarify your query. In the Clarify your question field, add details or ask a follow-up question:

   • Type the text and click .

   • Click and speak your question.

   You can continue the conversation with follow-up questions or clarify details in a conversational format. Each response preserves the context of your previous question.

2. Go to source.

   Select a source link from the list and click it. Links appear in all Yandex AI answers except in math problem-solving mode. In that mode, Yandex AI doesn't use sources to generate the answer but instead outlines the solution steps from memory.

3. Rate the answer:

   • If the answer was helpful, click and select the relevant options from the list or share additional feedback. Click Submit.

   • If the answer wasn't helpful, click and select the relevant options from the list or share additional feedback. Attach photos or videos if needed. Click Submit.

4. Select a follow-up question.

   Yandex AI suggests follow-up questions based on your query. Select any of them to receive a detailed answer.

How it works

1. Search with Yandex AI uses algorithms to select relevant materials from across the web.

2. A generative neural network analyzes these materials in real time.

3. The information is compiled into a single, concise Yandex AI answer with links to the source materials.
