Filters
Define the data range to build the report for. You can filter by specific campaigns, sites, placements, and other parameters.
To add a filter, click + Filter, select the necessary one from the list, and specify a value (for example, the placement ID). To quickly find a filter, use subcategories or start typing the parameter name in the search bar.
Groups
Determine the parameters that the report data is grouped by.
To add a group parameter, click + Groups and select the parameter from the list. For example, to find out how much revenue each site section brings, add a Section name group.
Note
We recommend that you don't add too many group parameters, because the system might not be able to build the chart.
Metrics
Statistical metrics that you want to check for the selected data range.
To add a metric click + Metrics and select the necessary one from the list. To learn more about metrics, see Metrics in reports.
Note
Metrics for external monetizers are calculated based on Adfox statistics. Because of this, statistics in monetizer reports may differ.

Examples of custom reports
Traffic analysis by campaign
-
To build a report, select the Campaign name group and the Total ad requests and Revenue metrics.
Evaluate how requests are distributed among campaigns and how much revenue each of them brings. Based on this data, you can evaluate how effective each campaign is. For example, if fewer requests generate more revenue, this is a profitable campaign.
Site performance analysis
-
You can use the report data to identify traffic losses at each impression stage. To build a report, select the Site name group and the followings:
- Total ad requests
- Banner ad responses
- Impressions
- Renders
- Rejections
- Total ad requests without rejections
- Unfilled ad responses
The number of banner impressions and responses may differ because of the campaign visibility settings. If there are a lot of unfilled ad responses, change your campaign settings: more restrictions cause fewer impressions.
View a report
The report is available as a chart and a table.
To enlarge the viewing area, collapse the report list on the left. To do this, click the icon above the report list.
The chart can be a line, column, or pie chart. You can switch the chart view using the buttons above it.
To view the exact value of a metric, hover over it. A box with the metric name and value appears on the chart.
Line and column charts
A line chart is convenient for monitoring how metrics change over time (for example, in reports by day or time of day). A column chart is useful if you want to compare metrics in different groups (for example, in a banner report).
Groups are on the horizontal axis of the chart. To remove a group from the chart, hide it in the group list on the right.
The metric values are on the vertical axis. By default, only one metric is displayed on the graph when it's built. You can enable or disable metric display in the list above the chart.
If several metrics are displayed on the chart at the same time, we recommend that you enable the legend. To do this, click the icon in the upper-right corner of the chart.
Pie chart
The pie chart shows the percentage of groups. This chart type is useful in reports by device type or geography.
You can sort the data in the table using the arrow icon in the column name:
- Parameters with a numeric value may be sorted in descending or ascending order.
- Parameters with a text value may be sorted alphabetically.
If the groups are related hierarchically, you can display the table taking this hierarchy into account. To do this, click above the table. The lower-level groups are nested in the higher-level ones.
For example, an available geography report uses several groups: from city (the lowest level of the hierarchy) to continent (the highest level). In a regular (line) table, metrics are displayed only for the lowest-level group, that is, by city. Using a table with a hierarchical structure, you can display metrics for each level of the hierarchy (for example, regions, districts, or countries).
Save a report
You can use multiple functions to save the report:
-
: To save the report on your computer in XLSX or CSV format.
-
: To copy a link to the report (the report will only be available to authorized Adfox users).
-
Save: To save the report on the Saved tab in the list on the left.
Alert
The function is available for administrator and assistant user types.
Widgets
You can create widgets based on reports on the Dashboard tab. A widgets contains statistics for a short period of time, such as a day, the last three days, or a week. You can flexibly manage data: change views or change the set of metrics to be shown on the chart without refreshing the page. To learn more about widgets, see Dashboard.
