Seller certification
A seller is a legal entity, individual, or individual entrepreneur who professionally sets up and manages ad placements. Sellers help monetize their clients' sites and apps.
a Yandex Advertising Network seller can monetize third-party sites and apps whose average monthly traffic over the last six months doesn't exceed 30 million sessions for a single resource (main domain, including all subdomains and sections, or Bundle ID) according to public sources, such as Similarweb, Mediascope, Liveinternet, Data.ai, Yandex Metrica, and others.
Staring April 1, 2025, you can become a certified seller. Certification is only available for sellers who are residents of the Russian Federation.
A certified seller is a Yandex Advertising Network business partner whom we recommend to market participants. We believe that a good partnership is built on open and honest cooperation, which includes maintaining an active media presence and making public appearances —individually or jointly with the Yandex Advertising Network. We expect sellers to adhere to business ethics and to discuss work issues directly with us. Otherwise, Yandex reserves the right to refuse to certify a seller.
How to get certified
Step 1. Check if you have enough points
For an easy start, we introduce reduced criteria from April 1, 2025. They will then be slightly increased from July 1, 2025. Points required to obtain certification:
- From April 1, 2025 — get at least 3 points.
- From July 1, 2025 — get at least 4 points.
Your certificate renews automatically if you meet the current requirements. The requirements may change every six months. When this happens, we'll inform you of the new terms in advance.
Note
We'll look at your performance for the six months before your application. For example, if you apply on March 20, we'll review your performance from September to February.

Step 2. Submit an application
Fill out the application to get certified.
Step 3. Wait for your application to be reviewed
After your application is reviewed, you will receive an email at the address you provided:
- If you don't have enough points to get certified, we will let you know.
- Once your certification is approved, we'll confirm your company's details so we can list you on the portal of certified Yandex sellers. After the details are passed, your seller card will be published on the portal.
How to extend the certification status
If you get enough points when we revisit the criteria, your valid certification status will be automatically extended.
If you don't get enough points, we will notify you that the certification status will be revoked. Your company card will be removed from the portal of certified Yandex sellers.
FAQ
Who does the certification apply to?
It applies to sellers who are Russian legal entities, individuals, or individual entrepreneurs.
Does the certification apply to sellers who mainly produce video content?
It applies to sellers who monetize third-party sites and apps. The terms for sellers who specialize in video content will be developed later.
How does the certification work if the seller has multiple usernames in the Yandex Advertising Network?
If the usernames are registered under a single Russian legal entity, individual, or individual entrepreneur, we will combine the calculation results for these usernames during the review.
Otherwise, the results of each username will be counted separately. If at least one of the seller's usernames gets enough points based on the criteria, the certification will be approved.
When will I receive a response to my submitted application?
We usually review applications within 10 business days, but in rare cases it may take longer. We will certainly inform you about the results.
Why wasn't my certification status extended automatically?
The certification criteria or thresholds may have changed. Check the email you provided in the application: we will email you if your certification status is revoked.
If you got enough points but your certification status hasn't been extended, please contact support.
When can I resubmit my application?
You can resubmit your application for certification as soon as you get enough points based on the criteria.
In which cases can the certification status be revoked?
- The criteria or thresholds have changed and you don't have enough points to extend your certification status.
- The seller is no longer a Yandex Advertising Network partner, either by their own choice or due to Yandex's decision (for example, if they violated the Yandex Advertising Network Terms of Offer or the Rules of Participation in the Yandex Advertising Network).
We believe that a good partnership is based on open and honest cooperation and adherence to business ethics. If these principles are violated, Yandex reserves the right to revoke the seller's certification status without explaining the reason behind the decision.

Why was I refused certification?
Yandex reserves the right to refuse certification to a seller without disclosing the reason, such as in cases of violations of the Yandex Advertising Network Offer terms, violations of the Rules of Participation in the Yandex Advertising Network, or failure to comply with the terms of the agreement.
