Chats for administrators

Administrators of group chats can:

Add new members

1. Open the chat.
2. In the upper-right corner, press ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
3. Select Members.
4. Press Add.

Delete a member

1. Open the chat.
2. In the upper-right corner, press ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
3. Select Members.
4. Press next to the person you want to delete.
5. Press Delete from chat.

Add an administrator

1. Open the chat.
2. In the upper-right corner, press ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
3. Select Members.
4. Press next to the person you want to assign as an administrator.
5. Press Make admin.

Remove an administrator

1. Open the chat.
2. In the upper-right corner, press ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
3. Select Members.
4. Press next to the administrator you want to remove.
5. Press Remove from admins.

Pin a chat

1. In the chat list, right-click on the name of the chat.
2. Select Pin chat.

1. In the chat list, tap and hold the chat you need to pin.
2. Select Pin chat.

Unpin chat

1. In the list of pinned chats, right-click the chat you want to unpin.
2. Select Unpin chat.

1. In the list of pinned chats, tap and hold the chat.
2. Select Unpin chat.

Move chat

1. In the list of pinned chats, left-click and hold the chat you want to move.
2. Move the chat.

1. In the list of pinned chats, tap and hold the chat.
2. Choose Move chat.
3. Move the chat by holding its icon on the left.

Rename and change description of the chat

1. Open the chat.
2. In the upper-right corner, press ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
3. Go to Chat settings.
4. Change the name and description.

Change permissions for chat members

You can allow or disallow members to:

• Send messages.
• Edit and delete messages.
• Send messages marked as important.
• Pin messages.
• Add new members.
• Edit the chat info.
• Discuss messages.

To do this:

1. Open the chat.
2. In the upper-right corner, press ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
3. Go to Chat settings.
4. Make changes in the Member permissions section.

Enable public link

To allow members to share the link to the chat:

1. Open the chat.
2. In the upper-right corner, press ( in iOS) and select Chat info.
3. Go to Chat settings.
4. In the Access section, enable the Public link option.

Set up a compact chat list

Note. This feature is only available in the web version and desktop application.

1. Click .
2. In the Interface section, enable or disable Compact chat list.

   You can see more chats in the list with this option enabled, but you can't see the messages until you go to a chat.
