Phone number
When using Yandex Messenger, you'll need to link your mobile phone number.
Note. Your phone number is only visible to you and users who have it in their phone book.
To change the linked phone number:
- In Yandex Messenger, tap
→ Change phone number. - Enter the new phone number and tap Next. A confirmation code will be sent to your number.
- Enter the code and tap Next.
- Open Settings in Yandex Messenger.
- Select Link phone number.
- Enter your phone number and tap Next. A confirmation code will be sent to your number.
- Enter the code and tap Next.
You can also change the linked phone number in the app settings.
Restriction. If you use several Yandex IDs in Yandex Messenger, specify a phone number for each ID. You can't use the same number for different accounts.
Questions and issues
Can I link numbers of any telecom operators?
Yes. But it needs to be a mobile phone number, not a landline or direct-dial number.
Yandex Messenger asks me to link my phone number again. Why?
This may happen if you use the same phone number in multiple accounts. Each account must have its own number.
