Information for online businesses
An online business is a company that operates only online, by phone, or through delivery. It doesn't have an office that customers can visit.
These companies can be added to Yandex Business as online businesses. You can post a link to your Yandex Business profile on your website and in your social media channels. Customers will see the region you operate in or your delivery area. It will make it easier for them to place orders and learn about your promotions.
Features
You can use an online business profile to:
- Publish posts.
- Add a price list, action button, and promotions.
- Add photos.
- Change the service area where the company operates.
- Reply to and report issues in reviews.
- Download promotional materials in your account.
Limitations
- Profiles are available only via a direct link.
- They are not published in Yandex Maps.
- They are not displayed in search results in Yandex Maps.
- They aren't cited in rich answers or Yandex search results.
Add a business
If you haven't added your company to Yandex Business yet, follow the instructions. It's free.
- Step 1. Log in
- Note. When adding a company to Yandex Business, don't use your personal username, such as from Yandex Mail or Yandex Disk. You won't be able to transfer your company to a different username.
Open Yandex Business and log in with your Yandex ID. If you don't have a username, sign up.
- Step 2. Specify the name and business category

Enter the name of your company. Enter the main business category. To do this, start typing the category name and select one from the drop-down list. Once you add your company, you'll be able to choose two additional business categories.
In the section Is there an office location your customers can visit you at?, click No, I have an online company.
- Step 3. Specify your city or region

Online businesses don't have a street address in Yandex Business. Select a city or region where your services are available.
- Step 4. Enter your phone number and website address

- Enter a phone number. After you register, users will see the number in the company profile.
Enter your website or social media page. If your company doesn't have a website, you can provide links to messengers.
- Choose a convenient way to confirm your number: by SMS or with a call.
- Wait until a message arrives or an automated operator calls. Usually, the waiting time is less than 10 minutes.
- Enter the verification code to confirm your number.
Wait until your application is verified. Sometimes, it takes up to three days. You can track the verification status in the section.
After verification is complete, your company profile will be published online.
If the status of your request doesn't change after two weeks, contact support.
Confirm your rights to the company
Only users with the Owner, Representative, or Representative (Webmaster) role can manage company profiles in Yandex Business. For more information, see User roles.
To confirm your rights to a company, get a code and enter it in the form.
Get a code
Find your company in Yandex Business:
Go to the Businesses page.
Enter the company's name in the Search field at the top of the page and click
. To refine the search, specify the region.Example
Find your company in the search results and click Get access.
The window Confirm your ownership rights to the company opens: select the phone number you want to use to confirm your rights. It can be a mobile or landline number.
Owners and Representatives can edit phone numbers specified in the profile using a Yandex Business account.
If you selected:
- Landline number — click Confirm with a call. If the phone number has a voice menu, select There's a voice menu.
- Mobile number — choose whether you want to receive the code by call or SMS.
You will be redirected to the window that says We'll call soon for confirmation.
Wait for an SMS or call with a code, then enter it in the Confirmation code field. If you don't want to wait, close the window and enter the code later (see If you already have the code).
If you already have the code
- Go to the Requests page and open the Confirmation tab.
- Click Enter code.
- Enter the code you received.
Online business' data
On the Businesses page, click the link with the company name.
In the menu on the left, go to .
- Fill in your information. For more information, see Fill out the company information.
All data is moderated. The information must meet Yandex requirements.
- On the Businesses page, click the link with the company name.
- In the menu on the left, go to .
In the Main tab, go to Address.
- Specify the Service area by choosing the regions from the list or setting a radius around a point with a specific address. The radius value can only be an integer no more than 10,000 km.
- Click Save data at the bottom of the page.
- In your personal account, select a business.
In the Activate useful services section on the right, select You'll appear in Yandex Maps.
- Create a request using the form.

Reviews and rating
Reviews
Any user with a Yandex ID can leave a review about your company. Reviews help other users make good choices.
You can manage reviews about your business.
Rating
Business rating is a value from 1 to 5 calculated using scores and reviews from Yandex users.
The rating helps customers choose between similar companies. The higher your rating among competitors, the higher the probability that users will choose your company.

Statistics
Online businesses have access to general statistics. Statistics on competition isn't available, because competitors are selected among the companies that are located next to you on the map.
Website
Online businesses can create a Yandex Business website to set up ad campaigns and post information about their products and services.
